Franklin's Hairspray, Kids Show at the Library and Maple Magic Top This Weekend's Family Acitivities

HAIRSPRAY

  • Where/When: Franklin High School at 12000 Reisterstown Rd. in Reisterstown on Friday, Feb. 25, at 7:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: This is a true Baltimore classic. This play tells about the adventures of Tracy Turnblad and Baltimore during the civil rights movement.
  • Pricing: $8.

ADVENTURES OF FROSTY THE FROG

  • Where/When: Reisterstown Branch Library at 21 Cockeys Mill Rd. in Reisterstown on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 10:30 a.m.
  • Why Go: This fun event features a variety of activities: music, magic, puppets and more!
  • Pricing: Free

MAPLE MAGIC!

  • Where/When: Irvine Nature Center at 11201 Garrison Forest Rd. in Owings Mills on Saturday, Feb. 26, and Sunday, Feb. 27, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: Not only will you and your kids learn how to tap a maple tree and make syrup, but you'll also get to enjoy a yummy pancake breakfast! This is a great event for kids of all ages.
  • Pricing: Members are free, and non-members are $10.

DAVID JACK'S CHILDREN'S CONCERT

  • Where/When: Beth Israel Congregation at 3706 Crondall Ln. in Owings Mills on Sunday, Feb. 27, at 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: David Jack is a popular and award-winning musicians who serenades children and adults alike. Tickets are inexpensive, and this is the perfect way to spend a chilly winter day: warming up with family and good tunes!
  • Pricing: $7.50

PICTURING HUBBLE'S UNIVERSE

  • Where/When: CCBC Catonsville, Building D Banneker Planetarium, 800 S. Rolling Rd. in Catonsville on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Why Go: Learn more about this vast and mysterious universe of ours, specifically, the colors it creates and what they mean.
  • Pricing: Free
