Family Game Night, If You Give a Mouse A Cookie Top List of Weekend Family Activities

A roundup of ways to keep the kids busy in Reisterstown, Owings Mills and Westminster.

 

Not sure where to take the kids this weekend? Here are five local, family friendly events you can check out.

FAMILY GAME NIGHT

  • Where/When: The Reisterstown Senior Center at 12035 Reisterstown Rd. in Reisterstown on Friday, Feb. 18, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
  • Why Go: The senior center welcomes everyone of all ages to come out and have some fun playing board games. Brought to you by the Games Club of Maryland (GCOM).
  • Pricing: Free

IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE

  • Where/When: St. Timothy's School at 8400 Greenspring Ave. in Stevenson on Friday, Feb. 19, and Saturday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Why Go: This is a cute little tale based off of the book by Laura Joffe Numeroff. This is great for kids of any age. Enjoy great acting and great music!
  • Pricing: $12 in advance and $14 at the door. Groups of 10 or more are $10 each.

YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN

  • Where/When: Owings Mills High School at 124 S Tollgate Rd. in Owings Mills on Friday, Feb. 18, Saturday, Feb. 19, and Sunday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m.
  • Why Go: Owings Mills High School thespians tackle this classic play about a lovable "blockhead." Kids of all ages will appreciate this play based on the popular comic strip by Charles M. Schulz.
  • Pricing: $5 for students and $7 for adults

ROCKING THROUGH TIME

  • Where/When: Soldier's Delight Natural Environmental Area at 5100 Deer Park Rd. in Owings Mills on Sunday, Feb. 20, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Why Go: Young and old geologist alike will love this 90-minute class about rocks and minerals in Maryland. This is for children and adults of all experience/knowledge levels. This also includes a hike, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring some bottled water.
  • Pricing: $2 a person

HOMESCHOOL: TAPPING MAPLES AND COLLECTING SAP

  • Where/When: Bear Branch Nature Center at 310 John Owings Rd. in Westminster on Friday, Feb. 18, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Why Go: Help the nature center collect sap for the Maple Sugarin' Festival. This is a fun activity for kids age 7 to 11.
  • Pricing: $5
